Caprese Salad
Ingredients
2-3 HOMEGROWN OR VINE RIPENED TOMATOES
8 0Z BUFFALO MOZZARELLA
1 DOZEN FRESH BASIL LEAVES
OLIVE OIL
BALSAMIC VINEGAR
SALT
PEPPER
Instructions
Slice your tomatoes about ¼ inch thick.
Slice mozzarella same thickness.
Place tomatoes on a platter, add a slice of mozzarella to every tomato. You can get creative with placement.
Add a sprig or leaf of basil to each tomato/mozz.
Mix 1:1 olive oil (Virgin is best for this dish) and balsamic vinegar.
Add salt and pepper to your liking (your portions of O.O/vinegar/S/P will be determined by how many tomatoes and mozzarella you are serving).
Pour this mixture over the tomatoes, mozzarella and basil and serve.
